Quartz PCI Version 8 adds innovative new features to streamline your image handling tasks. PCI Version 8 includes:

• A new Measurement Sequence function that allows you to save sequences of repetitive measurements and makes it easy to repeat them.
• Improved image file support, including support for PNG and JPEG2000 files.
• Support for larger images. Image size is now limited only by system memory or the restrictions imposed by a particular file format.
• New measurement tools for measuring areas and perimeters of polygons and freehand shapes.
• A new four-point angle measurement tool.
• A new drawing tool for closed, freehand shapes.
• The ability to burn graphics, such as a “Company Confidential” indicator, onto the image immediately upon acquisition.
• A new Recent Images tab in the Data Manager that shows your most recently opened images.
• The ability to create CDs and DVDs directly from inside PCI.
• An improved “Send To” function with which documents can be added to the PCI database simply by dragging them onto an icon on your desktop.
